International Controller

Wij zijn momenteel op zoek naar een International Controller voor het Europese hoofdkantoor in Rotterdam.

In this role, your key responsibilities will include:

• Providing key business leadership in the Rotterdam office and serving as a financial advisor to the European team 
• Full controller duties, with an additional focus on financial analysis, monthly and annual reporting, planning and budgeting. 
• Leading and managing the Accounting organization (2-3 people) through payroll, accounts receivable, accounts payable and month-end process. 
• Analyzing financial effects of proposals for Hu-Friedy to acquire other companies and support due diligence performed in the analysis of an acquisition target’s financial condition. 
• Ensuring that effective credit, payables and, payroll policies are developed and implemented and work with senior management and directors to ensure adherence to policies. 

Successful candidates will have:

• Bachelors degree in Accounting 
• 10+ years of accounting experience, with increasing management responsibilities 
• Extensive experience with budgeting and forecasting, GAAP financial reporting, local, federal and statutory taxation 
• Strong analytical skills 
• ERP experience 
• Strong leadership and communication and interpersonal skills 
• Experience working with overseas markets and skills in cross-cultural communications 
• Proficiency in English and German 
• International travel required for meetings at other locations in Europe and in the Chicago office 

Additional desired capabilities:

• Master of Business Administration or Masters of Management with a concentration in Accounting.
• Knowledge of international finance (currency options, etc.) and discounted cash flow techniques utilized to value capital expenditures and acquisitions
• Tax experience a solid plus 
• SAP experience preferred
• Additional language capabilities
